Kudypy, Olsztyn County

53°45′56″N 20°23′3″E / 53.76556°N 20.38417°E / 53.76556; 20.38417Kudypy [kuˈdɨpɨ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Gietrzwałd, within Olsztyn County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) east of Gietrzwałd and 8 km (5 mi) west of the regional capital Olsztyn.
Before 1772 the area was part of Kingdom of Poland, and in 1772–1945 it belonged to Prussia and Germany (East Prussia).
