Max Winter McNown[1] (born July 20, 2001), is an American singer-songwriter from Bend, Oregon,[2][3] based in Nashville, Tennessee. He is best known for his 2023 single "A Lot More Free".
Career
[edit]Early life
[edit]McNown graduated high school in 2020 and attended college for two years. In August 2022, he moved to Southern California and learned guitar.[4]
2023–present: Career beginnings
[edit]In April 2023, McNown released his debut single "Freezing in November".[4]
McNown signed with Fugitive Recordings and in August 2023, released his debut EP A Lot More Free.[4]
In April 2024, McNown released his debut album Wandering.[5] This was followed in September 2024 with the EP Willfully Blind.[4]
In May 2025, McNown released the single "Same Questions".[6]
