Park Seung-soo (Korean: 박승수; born 17 March 2007) is a South Korean professional footballer who plays as a winger for Newcastle United and formerly the Suwon Bluewings,[2][3][4][5] a South Korean football club based in Suwon that competes in the K League 2, the second tier of South Korean football.
Club career
[edit]As a youth player, Park joined the youth academy of South Korean side Suwon Samsung Bluewings and was promoted to the club's senior team ahead of the 2024 season, where he made twenty-five league appearances and scored one goal. On 30 June 2024, he scored his first goal for the club during a 1–1 home draw with Ansan Greeners in the league.[6]
Following his stint there, on 24 July 2025, he signed for Premier League side Newcastle United where he was assigned to play with under-21 team.[7]
He appeared in a Premier League matchday squad for the first time on 16 August, 2025 in the season opener against Aston Villa. [8]
International career
[edit]Park is a South Korea youth international. During February 2025, he played for the South Korea national under-20 football team at the 2025 AFC U-20 Asian Cup.
Style of play
[edit]Park plays as a winger and is right-footed. South Korean news website wrote in 2025 that he "[is] powerful and direct... [and has] good dribbling skills and can take on and beat players".[9]
