Germaine Brée
Germaine Brée (París,[1] 2 de octubre de 1907[2]-Winston-Salem, 22 de septiembre de 2001)[1] fue una autora francesa, profesora en las universidades de Nueva York, Wisconsin[2] y Wake Forest,[1] especializada en el estudio de la cultura y la literatura de su país.[2]
Fue autora de Marcel Proust and Deliverance From Time (1950), sobre Marcel Proust,[3][nota 1] Camus (1959), sobre Albert Camus,[4][5][6] Gide (1963), sobre André Gide,[7][8] Camus and Sartre: Crisis and Commitment (1972),[9] en la que Brée habría denotado su preferencia por Camus sobre Sartre,[9] o Women Writers in France (1973), entre otras.[1] También fue editora de Camus: A Collection of Critical Essays (1962).[10]
