Zasięg występowania
Rodzaj obejmuje gatunki występujące w Azji (Chińska Republika Ludowa, Republika Chińska, Mjanma, Wietnam, Tajlandia i Japonia)[3][4].

Etymologia
Diploderma: gr. διπλοος diploos „podwójny”, od δυο duo „dwa”[5]; δερμα derma, δερματος dermatos „skóra”[6].
