e a coluna
(isso é, o determinante menor) multiplicado por
(isso é, alternando os sinais).
Exemplos
Matrizes 2x2
Para toda matriz de ordem 2:
![{\displaystyle \mathbf {A} ={\begin{bmatrix}a&b\\c&d\end{bmatrix}}}](https://wikimedia.org/api/rest_v1/media/math/render/svg/5da9ea28bbd7c3867911e57387bc6af9a801a290)
[2]
Construindo a adjunta passo-a-passo
Vamos deduzir a adjunta da matriz representada abaixo:
![{\displaystyle \mathbf {A} ={\begin{bmatrix}a&b\\c&d\end{bmatrix}}}](https://wikimedia.org/api/rest_v1/media/math/render/svg/5da9ea28bbd7c3867911e57387bc6af9a801a290)
".
![{\displaystyle \mathbf {M} ={\begin{bmatrix}\det {d}&\det {c}\\\det {b}&\det {a}\end{bmatrix}}}](https://wikimedia.org/api/rest_v1/media/math/render/svg/a67276fa33b0e4fe857ae1d1a94e8727b9928e96)
![{\displaystyle {\mbox{C}}(\mathbf {A} )={\begin{bmatrix}d&-c\\-b&a\end{bmatrix}}}](https://wikimedia.org/api/rest_v1/media/math/render/svg/f2f48650d69aca6b338218c0540ef63e55209911)
![{\displaystyle {\mbox{adj}}(\mathbf {A} )={\begin{bmatrix}d&-b\\-c&a\end{bmatrix}}}](https://wikimedia.org/api/rest_v1/media/math/render/svg/f43d6ccbffa0839c2a78663531eb3576ce92ab68)
Matrizes 3x3
Para toda matriz na forma:
[3]
![{\displaystyle {\mbox{cof}}(A)={\begin{bmatrix}+\left|{\begin{matrix}e&f\\h&i\end{matrix}}\right|&-\left|{\begin{matrix}d&f\\g&i\end{matrix}}\right|&+\left|{\begin{matrix}d&e\\g&h\end{matrix}}\right|\\&&\\-\left|{\begin{matrix}b&c\\h&i\end{matrix}}\right|&+\left|{\begin{matrix}a&c\\g&i\end{matrix}}\right|&-\left|{\begin{matrix}a&b\\g&h\end{matrix}}\right|\\&&\\+\left|{\begin{matrix}b&c\\e&f\end{matrix}}\right|&-\left|{\begin{matrix}a&c\\d&f\end{matrix}}\right|&+\left|{\begin{matrix}a&b\\d&e\end{matrix}}\right|\end{bmatrix}}}](https://wikimedia.org/api/rest_v1/media/math/render/svg/f5767d52f4d929bda49e39c6be6be0ec8c621c17)
- e, transpondo, temos a matriz adjunta de A:
![{\displaystyle {\mbox{adj}}(A)={\begin{bmatrix}+\left|{\begin{matrix}e&f\\h&i\end{matrix}}\right|&-\left|{\begin{matrix}b&c\\h&i\end{matrix}}\right|&+\left|{\begin{matrix}b&c\\e&f\end{matrix}}\right|\\&&\\-\left|{\begin{matrix}d&f\\g&i\end{matrix}}\right|&+\left|{\begin{matrix}a&c\\g&i\end{matrix}}\right|&-\left|{\begin{matrix}a&c\\d&f\end{matrix}}\right|\\&&\\+\left|{\begin{matrix}d&e\\g&h\end{matrix}}\right|&-\left|{\begin{matrix}a&b\\g&h\end{matrix}}\right|&+\left|{\begin{matrix}a&b\\d&e\end{matrix}}\right|\end{bmatrix}}}](https://wikimedia.org/api/rest_v1/media/math/render/svg/4f4d1fc50036fd4ed7ae7e0253b8138184c78329)

![{\displaystyle \mathbf {A} ^{-1}={\frac {{\mbox{adj}}(\mathbf {A} )}{\det(\mathbf {A} )}}.}](https://wikimedia.org/api/rest_v1/media/math/render/svg/29e1c0c011401990147a8b0a5b299f6594acdc2d)
Logo, para toda matriz invertível de ordem 2:
![{\displaystyle {\begin{bmatrix}a&b\\c&d\end{bmatrix}}^{-1}={\frac {1}{ad-bc}}{\begin{bmatrix}\,\,\,d&\!\!-b\\-c&\,a\\\end{bmatrix}}.}](https://wikimedia.org/api/rest_v1/media/math/render/svg/991b1e025d92343197e1cf1e20a9c6fd2acaf105)
![{\displaystyle \mathbf {A} ^{-1}={\frac {1}{\det(\mathbf {A} )}}\cdot {\mbox{adj}}(\mathbf {A} ).}](https://wikimedia.org/api/rest_v1/media/math/render/svg/e1ed3c3ced37a7429012185355c7f5326fd52e72)
